OneTang Yellow Peaches

I would say these do have one (small) tang. They've got a less crumbly texture than other freeze dried fruits, more solid to bite into, which I guess is fun. The taste isn't super sweet, and there's a bit of sourness (aka tang). Not a huge peach flavor, but I do see it. It's fine, but we all know by now that I'm not a huge fan of this company for allergy and transparency reasons!

onetang freeze-dried strawberry

I'd rate these more of a 1/2 tang, but maybe that's just because I'm having a bad day. Again, the allergy info is sus, and the taste is "normal". Perfectly adequate freeze dried strawberries, not too crumbly, but from a company I disprefer.

OneTang Freeze-Dried Banana

Really more like NoTang, but that's OK. It's my birthday, blog! But I'm working a double (ie 16hrs) today, and I got rejected from a conference, and my parents want to visit tomorrow. And I have a headache!! So I enjoyed these frozen bananas in the spirit they were intended: sadly. Actually, they're fine, and as frozen fruits go, I like bananas pretty well. Plus there's a decent amount in here, comparatively. But you might recall I'm a bit sketched by this company's allergy info, so it's best to avoid it. Too bad I keep getting em in the mail. Anyway, tomorrow's another day! Hope you're feeling better than me, blog fans.

ONETANG Freeze-Dried Fruit - Mango

This was fine as dried fruit goes, and I do like the taste of mango. However, same as their pineapple one, it sketched me out a little bit, being foreign and therefore unclear about their allergy policy. Not worth the trouble.

ONETANG Freeze-Dried Fruit - Pineapple

This isn't my first freeze dried fruit, but it is my first "One Tang" fruit. This is a company that has no online presence and it's also in China. I have no problem with buying Chinese stuff in general, but food makes me nervous because I don't have a grasp on their allergy labelling laws and I know they've got a lot of nuts over there and not a lot of allergies. So, I prefer American Crispy Fruit over this just for peace of mind (USA! USA!). In terms of taste, this one might be better, though -- the pieces are a little less "freeze dried" and a little more substantial and therefore flavorful. So good if you don't have allergy fears I think.
