Dole Apple Juice

Mmkay, so I know this is just sugar water basically, but I was at school with no drink vessel and they finally fixed the vending machine! But I was also tired and hungry, so I got this sweet juice. In the moment, it served the purpose and felt sweet and refreshing. No real complaints.

Dole Fruit Bowls - Cherry Mixed Fruit in 100% Juice

I got this because I'm sick and can't go to the store. I tried hard to find the least weird fruit cup, but this one still has acerola (seems to be OK) and carmine (I'm terrified I'm allergic to this). I didn't eat the cherries since I was scared I'd die, but the rest was weirdly sweet, more than the fruit cocktails of my youth. So it tastes good I guess, but not worth the fear so I won't buy again. Also made in Thailand, never a good sign for nut allergy gals.

Dole Peach & Mango in slightly sweetened coconut water

It's a blizzard outside! So I'm stuck indoors with these fruit cups as sustenance. If you've ever had canned fruit, especially peaches, then these aren't going to be anything exotic for you. They are small cups with cubes of peach and mango in what I'd call more-than-slightly-sweetened coconut water. They taste fine, and the mangos have that nice firmer texture, which I like. Peaches are exactly like other canned peach bits. The coconut water adds a nice little tropical note, although it is a little sweet for my liking. This is a cute little snack, and at least it's real fruit!

One warning: when you peel the top off, the coconut juice will 99% squirt all over the place, so do it over a sink or something.

Dole Tropical Fruit

This is my favorite canned fruit -- I don't know if that says much, but sometimes I get in the mood for canned fruit and this is what I reach for. It's definitely convenient in case all your fresh fruit is rotten! Which does happen from time to time. This has pineapple, papaya, mango, and possibly  some other yellow-y cube of fruit in it. I don't really know what's in it, because they all end up tasting pretty much the same, but it's a good flavor. Not as sweet as regular fruit cocktail, and still a nice variety of textures (although there are no smushy grapes, which no one really likes anyway, right?). A good little snack or side dish.
