Skinny Pop Avocado Lime Popcorn

Blergh! This stuff is cursed. I probably could have guessed from the flavor that I wouldn't love this, since lime+savory = tastes like Trix Cereal for me, 100% of the time. Here too. And it even has dextrose in, so it truly is SWEET LIME, and I hate hate hate to mix fruit + savory (possible exception = cranberry+turkey). But if you like, say, fiesta lime tortilla chips, come on down to experience intense fiesta lime flavor. The avocado oil doesn't really come through, so I'd be curious to try a not limey avo flavor to see what's up with that. But it doesn't seem to be contributing anything here. Other than the worse-than-plain taste, the texture is good, the ingredos are clean (and explicitly nut free, we love skinny pop for that), and the taste isn't actually bad (e.g. artificial or chemical), it's just sweet and that's not what I want on a popcorn. I wonder why I hate this and other people (including my dad, who is directly related to me) clearly seem to enjoy it. Weird. I'll still eat it though, I just will never buy again.

Skinny Pop - Sea Salt (Microwavable Version)

Blergh, the micowavable version of this is much less delicious than the prepopped version! But it is still nut free and, I guess, skinny. Certainly the portion size is larger here than with the other stuff, and I guess the taste is just the same as other microwave popcorns, so maybe I'm just not in the mood for popcorn. I am only eating this to have something to review, after all! (Why was it at my parents' house, I wondered, since my mom can't eat popcorn and my dad righteously has no interest in Skinny Things? Is it because it's nut free, on my behalf?! Is it because Hershey makes it so they got it for free? Questions I wish I had asked!)

Skinny Pop Harry Potter Butterbeer

Surprise surprise, this stuff tastes great, just like the butterbeer goldfish and the kisses. Like those, I did not buy this myself, and like those, I resent what JKR did for the world's ability to enjoy their childhood fandom and related snacks!!! My donations continue apace. Anyway, this isn't very sweet, but it is nut free and vaguely cinnamon-gingery. I could eat the whole bag in one sitting easily. It's like a butter-lite version of butter popcorn, but sugar. No artificiality. I love it :(

Skinny Pop Kettle Corn - Sweet & Salty

I gotta stop buying Angie's Kettle Corn when something like this (and a few other companies I think) is available and explicitly nut and peanut free! Thank you, Skinny Pop! The name is a little "ehhh" but I guess I do also want to be skinny (and pop-ular) , so whatever. This tastes like kettle corn. Sweet, a little salty, good crunch, no complaints. Solid stuff and a nice sweet snack.

Skinny Pop Popcorn

I thought this was fine, not very salty or flavorful, but had a good amount of oil and was soft and pleasant to chew. A decent "yum" to "healthy" ratio, I'd say.
