Vegan Rob's Cauliflower Puffs

These weren't bad, as far as the VRB puff line goes. A generically seasoned puff -- onion? garlic? pepper? without much cheese flavor, but not too much "probiotic" flavor either, so we count our blessings. A decent quantity of a very average foodstuff.

Vegan Rob's Cheddar Puffs

Eeeeew fam. These have the exquisite flavor notes of "nail polish remover" and "light onion salt dusting". Truly much worse than any of the other VR flavors, I'm not sure what went wrong here. They do have a nice crunch, but an upsetting and weird (and not at all cheesy) flavor. Do not buy.

Vegan Rob's Spinach Puffs

Ah, Vegan Rob is at it again. I like the idea of a veggie puff, and this is a filling snack as snacks go, but the taste of these is definitely "bitter spinach powder", yet the nutrition info isn't like "wow spinach!", you know? So I don't find myself wanting these, even though they're edible and v e g a n.

Vegan Rob's Turmeric Puffs

I'm still a little shocked that turmeric has two "r"s in it. Also a liiittle shocked that it's so trendy in the hipster food sphere, since beyond being Very Yellow (or orange, in this case) I'm not sure what it really offers. So these were a weird flavor. They had an aftertaste of.... chicken noodle soup. The supposed pumpkin and cinnamon flavors, while intriguing in theory, were too subtle to really perceive, and the overwhelming notes were just the cheesy inner puff and the noodle soup (aka turmeric, I guess?) flavor, which was honestly a weird combo. Better to stick with the veg or cheesey flavors of these puffs, because this was too confusing for my palate. The basic inner puff is still solid though.

Vegan Rob's Brussels Sprout Puffs

OK Vegan Rob (aka Pirate Booty Rob), I like your product, but I hate that it's got no mention of nut allergens when it goes through every other allergen and certification. So frustrating. Even on the website! Anyway, these are nut free, and all the flavors of puff basically taste the same. So there is no real brussels sprout flavor here (and I assume no real veggie-related nutrition either, sadly). The taste is just generic vaguely cheesey (somehow) puffs. It's fine.

Vegan Rob's Beet Puffs

When I saw BEET PUFFS I was like "ew", because I really do not like beets. Luckily for me, these hardly tasted like beets at all. They just tasted like cheese curls, although not especially cheesy (which makes sense as they're vegan). They were very similar to the Cauliflower Puffs that the same company makes. Anyway, I like them. They're made of sorghum, which I am not allergic to but don't know anything about -- is it cheesy? Who knows. I do find it annoying that this bag is very "kosher/vegan/gluten free!!" but not a single mention of nut allergens on the bag or even on their website, but whatever, they are still tasty and normal-food-ish.

Vegan Rob's Brand Spinach & Matcha Kettle Chips

Usually I can't eat vegan stuff because it's got all sorts of grains and seeds I'm allergic to, but this was safe! I thought that matcha was basically just green tea, but this macha was randomly sweet! It tasted a little bit like the sweet maui onion chips. There was a little bit of spinach flavor, a little bit of sweetness, but not really any tea flavor that I could pick out. Mostly it was like normal chips with a little sweet and spinach. It was OK!
