nounós Plain 5% Milkfat Greek Yogurt

This is solid yogurt! Plain flavor, thick, and comes with 3 servings which is a good number for me. Good with cherries. Probably good with berries. I'm a bit scared it'll go bad now it's open, but the internet assures me I have 1-2 weeks! We shall see.

nounós mixed berry

This was fine, although it did have some mystery "vegetable juice" that made me worry "what if this is peas"? But it presumably wasn't peas. The mixed berry bit on the bottom wasn't particularly fruity, but it was still, on the whole, fine. Wish it were more substantial though.

nounós vanilla bean yogurt

Yogurt in glass jars is so hot right now! And I'm loving it, it's a very classy vibe. I have no familiarity with nounos, and they didn't answer my "allergy inquiry" email, but it doesn't look like any of their current products contain nuts so I feel pretty safe anyway. This is greek yogurt but it's not super thick or anything; it's basically a nice vanilla yogurt vibe. Decent and fun. I wish my local store carried them!

Fage Total Greek Yogurt - Plain 2% Milkfat

I got this to repopulate my gut bacteria after the antibiotics time. I don't really know if it's working, but I guess it's possible things could be even WORSE in there (my gut is broken). Anyway, as a food, it's fine. Definitely filling and creamy and goes well with fruit, although it's very much a slog on its own. Three servings is about right.

Norr Organic Probiotic Skyr - Plain Whole Milk

Aw yeah, dairy 4 me. I got this in my produce box, but it hasn't been back since, which is sad because it is dairy 4 me. The best part is that it's nut free, confirmed via email with the company. So any of their flavors would be safe to try, if I could get my hands on them! That's very exciting and puts this above Organic Valley Cheesers in my ranking, even though cheese is objectively more delicious than skyr. Skyr is basically Greek Yogurt, btw, it's just Icelandic and therefore much cooler. Honestly I wouldn't be able to tell the difference though, I think. This is perhaps thicker. It's very thick, creamy, and filling. Without any added flavor, it's a little bit of a slog to eat, like porridge or oats, but I like that. It's good to have protein and calcium (if only it had Vitamin D, too!!), and nice to have around. I added a little cranberry sauce to it one time and that was fun.

Yoplait whips! - Dunkin' Cinnamon Coffee Roll

Oh yeah! I officially tried all 4 of the Dunkin yogurts. I am a true Dunkin superfan/loyalist. Nice. Like the other whipped one, this was decent! It was cinnamony and sweet. Not really reminiscent of any Dunkin product I recognize, including the coffee roll, but it tastes good just the same.

Yoplait Whips - Dunkin' French Vanilla Latte

Of the three Dunkin' yogurts I got to try, this was most certainly the best. Maybe that's because it's whipped, which is a fun texture. I thought this actually tasted (and smelled) like a pleasant coffee dessert. Yum.

Yoplait Dunkin' Apple Fritter Yogurt

I thought that this was definitely better than the Boston Kreme yogurt; it had little apple chunks in it just like that light yoplait apple cinnamon yogurt I like. But this one was a bit of a funny taste to it, which I don't like. So it is better than the other dunkin' yogurt, but not great. Still curious about the other 2 though!

Yoplait - Dunkin' Boston Kreme Donut Yogurt

When I heard about this dunkin' + yoplait collab, I was super excited and checked every store by me, but none of them had any of the four flavors. But my boyf got me this one, which is sweet 'cause he hates yogurt and also shopping. Anyway, this tastes like "yoplait" to me, and not really "dunkin", which is a shame. It does smell like the Creme in Boston Creme, but it tastes like those weird yellow custard yogurts yoplait (used to?) make, in the yellow containers. The taste is sweet and a bit artificial. No real chocolate or donut flavors that I could sense. It was OK, but I'm still curious to try the other three flavors someday if I ever see them.

Fage Total - Mango (5%)

Mango is my favorite fruit, so something went wrong in the fruit to yogurt pipeline, because this is definitely not my favorite Fage. The yogurt part is still good and creamy (love that 5% life) and filling, which is great, but the mango part has a very odd texture - super thick and mealy and like something went wrong and I'm eating a moldy tree branch. Rather than goo with chunks it is just chunks. This would be OK, but the flavor is not great. It is tropical and strong, but it also recalls this bubble gum flavored medicine I had a lot as a kid (even though it doesn't taste like bubble gum here). Amoxicillin maybe? I did like the flavor of the medicine, but I wouldn't want to eat it as a yogurt compote, and I still don't. Maybe if you never had that medicine this would be better for you, but I bet you still wouldn't think it is especially good. Sad days.

Fage Total - Apricot (5%)

It might just be in my head, or perhaps because it's 8 million degrees outside, but I think there is an appreciable difference in creaminess/decadence between the 5% milkfat Fages and the lower percentage Fages. It's only 40-50 calories more than the 2%, but it tastes a lot thicker and even sweeter, like cream. So that's pleasant. The apricot goo isn't my favorite; it tastes a lot like apricot, but I don't really love apricots, so that's whatever. It also doesn't have any chunky bits in it; it's more of a jelly than a compote. Therefore the fruit part stretched farther than it usually does, which is kind of nice. A fun change of Fage pace.

Fage Greek Yogurt - Blueberry (2%)

So look. I assume all the 2% Fage yogurt bases are the same, but I guess I was in a bit more of a yogurt mood today, as I found this quite refreshing, even ignoring the tasty blueberry bit. It tasted like Dannon yogurt, which is watery and sweeter than your Fage (which is why I don't get it, but it also goes down easier, you know?). Anyway, nice refreshing yogurt base. The blueberry goo is not quite as true-to-the-fruit as the pear is, but it's a good blueberry flavor, basically like a nice wildberry jam or jelly. It's a purple color more than blue, and has a couple fruit-like chunks (mostly seeds), which is always good to see. This is a very canonical yogurt experience, so if you like that, I recommend this flavor!

Fage Greek Yogurt - Pear 2%

Fage fage fage. I know yogurt is a smart snack, it's filling and has protein and calcium and is cheap and has probiotics. I don't hate it, but sometimes, it can be a little bit of a chore. Like today, I guess I wasn't hungry enough, so this yogurt was a bit of a struggle to finish. The base yogurt is the same as ever, very thick and creamy, but not especially delicious (to me) - it's just there. I like the pear goo a lot, it's mildly sweet and tastes basically just like a pear tastes. I always wish for more goo, but I know it's a good amount and I should stop whining. To you, blog readers. Anyway, it's nice and crisp and pleasant, and only 120 calories yet super filling. Can't complain.

Welch's Fruit 'n Yogurt Snacks - Strawberry

These are really good. They're very similar to the cherry ones, and I wish I had both at the same time so I could do a true comparison. I thought I liked cherry better but I really enjoyed these also, so now I'm not sure! They too are tiny spheres of red fruit gummy, not too chewy or sticky, mixed with "yogurt" aka somewhat sweet and crumbly white stuff. The taste is good, vaguely creamy and fruity, but not really yogurt or choco tasting. These are compelling and I always wish for more in a bag. But they are good and in nice little single serve pouches. Plus they are fairly cheap if you can find them!

Chobani - Apple Cinnamon Blended Yogurt

To be honest, deep down I don't like yogurt that much. I just want to be a person who likes yogurt, so I buy it every now and then. Those bacteria are supposed to be good for you! Anyway, of all the yogurts, this is one of the tastiest in my opinion. It's not fruit-on-the-bottom style, so the whole yogurt is kind of a sweet vanilla cinnamon flavor. There are also a few tiny apple chunks in there, which are mostly on the bottom but still mixed throughout. I wouldn't say it's GREAT, but it's quite good and very filling and convenient for a late-night snack (as I am enjoying right now)! Also fairly soothing for a sick sore throat girl (as I am unenjoying right now..!)

Fage Greek Yogurt (Strawberry)

Mm, yogurt. Ha ha, just kidding! Yogurt is OK, but I don't love it like everyone else does. That said, I've certainly tried many brands of yogurt, Greek & not-Greek, and I think Fage is my favorite. It's also usually the same low price as the other ones, so there's no reason not to grab one as a filling, not-too-unhealthy snack. They have 0% and 2% varieties, but the 2% tastes much better, so I'd say it's worth the extra 40 calories or whatever.

I think the strawberry is my favorite flavor, though I also like peach and cherry. (Plain is a little rough). The yogurt is tangy and creamy, and the fruit is sweet and has real fruit bits, but is just enough to leave you wanting a tiny bit more. Overall a snack I never regret getting, but I never really crave it.

Chobani Greek Yogurt with Oats (Apple Cinnamon)

It's been a while since I had a yogurt, so I decided to try this one out. I like the regular apple cinnamon chobani, but I did not like this one as much. Too many oats! Too grainy! Too lumpy! Not enough apple! And so on. It was quite filling, though, and it didn't taste bad, it just didn't taste good. I would much rather have a regular yogurt, this one kind of felt like a punishment. But it was filling and relatively healthy (good fibre, protes, etc). So, I tepidly recommend it if you like yogurt and whole-grain oats, but I probably won't buy again.

Chobani Greek Yogurt

Chobani! It's so popular here at least, makes me feel like I should hate them on principle. But they are a good source of protein and convenient and they come in a lot of flavors so. . . . I mean. . . they're all right.

peach: fruit on the bottom style! I enjoyed it, but i WAS hungry at the time. . .

Vanilla: My new job has these for breakfast spreads, which, thank goodness because it's the only packaged thing = the only thing I can eat. Haven't had a chobani in ages, but it was pretty good, and more importantly, the only food I ate for many hours. Tasted a bit tart/sour, I thought it was lemon until I looked at the package more closely. 7/10

yoplait light peach yogurt with granola

I don't know if it's just that the granola is much sweeter than the yogurt is, but this yogurt is really unsweet. the peach stuff is on the bottom, but even if you mix it in, it isn't very sweet. anyway, overall, i like the granola a lot and i think it might be OK in a different flavor. or a non-light version, perhaps.

Yoplait Light Apple Turnover Yogurt

For some reason, this flavor doesn't come in a non-light version, so it's the only "light" yogurt I buy. I buy it because it's very good! It's my favorite yogurt, I think. It's a vanilla-y yogurt with a slight cinnamony-spiced-apple taste and occasional chunks of apple mixed in. I couldn't eat a bunch of these at once or anything, but when I'm in the mood for yogurt, this is great. It's not too "yogurty" tasting, and it's not too "sweet fruitlike goo" tasting, so I highly recommend it if you like apple.
