norr organic strawberry & rhubarb skyr

I waited to try this until I wasn't alone, because it occurs to me I don't know if I've ever had rhubarb as an (allergy-having) adult. But it seems to have gone OK, at least in the short term! This was pleasant and sweet, but it basically just tasted like a normal strawberry banana yogurt or something. The aftertaste was a little tart, though! Glad to add this to my rota of possible skyrs, especially at a nonfat 90 calos.

norr organic - Black Currant & Blood Orange Skyr

Skyr is in! I'm very happy to try a new flavor from this nut-free company. I was anxious because this has blood orange "essential oil" in it, and like, what is that? But it tasted like blood orange essence, which I guess makes sense. The texture of this was the same as the unflavored skyr, i.e. "glorp". No fruit chunks or fruit on the bottom. Kind of disappointing because I like interesting textures, but there's nothing wrong with a good glorp. This was a little sweet but not overly so, and basically tasted like milk orange/blueberry flavor in yogurt. Filling and satisfying, plus it's good for me to have dairy. Would get again, probably over plain flavors given the choice, but it's not a huge preference.

norr organic Skyr - Plain Non-Fat

This was oddly watery inside, but it smelled/tasted normal, maybe that's just how it is. Stirring solves this issue, anyway. This is less than 100 cals but it tasted identical to the full fat version to me, so I like this even better! I added a handful of blueberries to it, which was nice. Good eatin'.

Norr Organic Probiotic Skyr - Plain Whole Milk

Aw yeah, dairy 4 me. I got this in my produce box, but it hasn't been back since, which is sad because it is dairy 4 me. The best part is that it's nut free, confirmed via email with the company. So any of their flavors would be safe to try, if I could get my hands on them! That's very exciting and puts this above Organic Valley Cheesers in my ranking, even though cheese is objectively more delicious than skyr. Skyr is basically Greek Yogurt, btw, it's just Icelandic and therefore much cooler. Honestly I wouldn't be able to tell the difference though, I think. This is perhaps thicker. It's very thick, creamy, and filling. Without any added flavor, it's a little bit of a slog to eat, like porridge or oats, but I like that. It's good to have protein and calcium (if only it had Vitamin D, too!!), and nice to have around. I added a little cranberry sauce to it one time and that was fun.
