Digiorno Personal Size Pepperoni - Hand-Tossed crust

There are things to like about this: no soy at all, a slogan of "pizza just for you" (damn straight), cheap, and multiple cooking options (I chose 3min microwave because my last Digiorno personal pizza had negligible oven gains). It's 740 calos per serving, which is a little high for my current lifestyle (bound to cause minor bodily distress), but surely better than a non-[pizza-just-for-me]. So - filling, convenient, safe. Pretty tasty, although there's a lot of bread and the sauce is the usual weirdly sweet digiorno sauce. But the ronis are good and it's ultimately cheesy bread, so yeah. Solid stuff.

DiGiorno Croissant Crust Four Cheese Frozen Pizza

Well, it sure isn't delivery. I only bought this because it was on sale, as is typical for frozen foods. This looked like a normal pizza in the pre-cooked phrase, but it's like 2000 calories! It tastes decent, the cheese is good/plentiful, but nothing earth shattering. When fresh I thought it was very similar to the school lunch slice pizza we had on Wednesdays in middle school, which was a special treat and the sauce was a uniquely weird flavor. I got the vibe less when it was reheated though, and to be honest it was less tasty reheated too. Alas.

DiGiorno Stuffed Crust Personal Pepperoni Pizza

I like the idea of a personal pizza, because I am an only child and want things to be just for me. And although I don't like DiGiorno typically, I guess I liked the full size version of this pizza. But the little one was less good, mainly because the stuffed crust was so firm and dried out that you couldn't even tell it was stuffed crust at all. The pizza also didn't have that "buttery" crust vibe I like, or any seasoning at all. It was very bland! Soft and tasteless pizza still isn't terrible, and it's soy free and a good size, so I'm thinking maybe cooking this in the oven instead of the microwave might at least solve the texture issue. I should give it another chance simply because I adore stuffed crust and Pizza Hut is nut city.

Update: I tried it in the oven! It did make the crust-cheese a more normal texture, but it still wasn't good. The sauce is just too sweet and gross, the crust cheese tastes like nothing, and I just wish it were better than it is. Oh well.

DiGiorno Cheese Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Pizza

Oh, readers, what a day today is. I have a massively important talk to prepare ASAP, and I woke up with an excruciating headache. Water, coffee, and yoga did nothing to heal it, so I thought "maybe I need to eat more". More pizza! Spoiler: I still have the headache and will have to do the talk tomorrow. Now that the preamble is over:

I wisely ate just 1/3 of this pizza, as it is 1500 calories. I am plenty full though. The real meat of this dish is not the roni, it's the crust! And it's a nice lovely crust, just like Pizza Hut or my high school did theirs. Normally I don't like DiGiorno but either I am getting used to them or the stuffed crust version is more legit. The non-crust part is honestly just "eh", it's pepperoni pizza that's fine but not great. But the crust is noice. Also, there's no soy here, which is great.

DiGiorno pizzeria! THIN hand-tossed spinach & mushroom pizza

This is one of the better DiGiorno's I've tried, although I must confess I was mid-flu when I had it. The key is really not eating it all in one sitting. It makes 2-3 solid meals. I put a few grape tomatoes on top because I had them around, but I don't think they added that much. Anyway, the crust was buttery and good, sauce was actually red sauce, and I liked that there are veg on it. The only downside is that it made me feel a little allergic, not in a soy way (obvi) but almost like a garlic sensitivity? Even though there's not that much garlic? Again, I was sick and perhaps hypersensitive, and I did eat it all, but slowly. Just something to look out for, future-me. But tasted pretty good and was easy to cook.

DIGIORNO pizzeria! Thin - Supreme Speciale

What a convoluted name, DiGiorno. OK, so my esteem for Digiorno is not very high, but these were on a big time sale at my usually expensive grocery store (4$ each!!) so I stocked up. Plus, this pizza did not have any soy in it, including in the meat!! This is super rare for a frozen pizza and I found it very encouraging. And indeed, the sausage tastes better when you're not puffy and scared to die. Roni and peppers/onions were all good as well, and the crust was surprisingly soft + crispy at once, a pleasant texture. The cheese and sauce were just "eh" to me, but overall it was a satisfying food. However, it wasn't particularly decadent, yet it was 1200+ calories (definitely a multi-mealer)!! I don't know if I can justify this as a single lady, but it was decent and better than expected.

DiGiorno pizzeria thin Margherita pizza

Why do people like DiGiorno so much? It's such an inferior product to me! And so calorific! Anyway, this was fine. It just has tomatoes, cheese, and weird basil specks (not full leaves at all). It gave me heartburn after just a little, but what doesn't these days. In general it was inoffensive, it was fine, it's still pizza.

DiGiorno Original Rising Crust - Supreme

Sorry, DiGiorno, this tastes nothing like delivery. Too puffy and not oily or spicy (garlic? red pepper anyone) enough. Also, each 1/6 slice is 330 calories?! What are we doing with this pizza, America. Thin crust from Dominos is cheaper, tastier, and healthier. Yikes. Anyway, this is very big, and the crust does indeed rise. It also has olives, which I hate, and onions, which I don't like on pizza, but I mean I guess I could get a different flavor. The roni and sausage are OK, they didn't make me ill, and the cheese and crust are very nondescript. The sauce is interesting - it's not like a typical pizza sauce, but it's almost TOO atypical. It's not too sweet, which is good, but it doesn't have much flavor in itself either. Like tomato-less tomato paste. I don't know, I want more spice and less rising crust I guess.
