Halfpops - Brooklyn Dill Pickle

Ah, Halfpops. So hard, they feel like I'm breaking my teeth open when I eat them. But I guess none broke that I know of, so maybe it's just a feeling. I thought this flavor was better than the others I tried, a good amount of flavor which is truly dill (I know it to be so because I had dill potato chips recently and it tasted like these!), and a little sweet. They're also pretty filling for their small size, and cute and unique. So that's something.

Halfpops - Angry Kettle Corn

I will say that this is definitely tastier than the plain sea salt flavor, but still the texture is such a struggle for my teeth! It's like the non-gummy version of Haribo. Maybe I'm just a baby with bad teeth. Anyway, this has a nice vaguely spicy flavor, though I thought it could use even more flavoring. Mostly it tasted like corn, and just a tiny bit sweet and a tiny bit spicy. I also got a few kernels in there that were popped more fully and those were so much more enjoyable, woe.

Halfpops - Sea Salt

These were really not what I expected! I assumed this would basically taste like popcorn, but it didn't at all. Instead, it had a strong nutty flavor! Of course there are no nuts, just corn, oil, and salt, but I guess corn tastes like nuts when un-popped(???). The texture was also very very firm/hard/crunchy, which added to the effect.  The flavor wasn't buttery at all, either. It was a little salty, I guess, which is good, and reminded me a little of the snack mix that has a ton of rye chips in it. So the flavor and texture didn't really do it for me, I'm afraid. I did enjoy reading the label prose, there was a lot of it and it was wholesome and not offensive, which still being cute and hipstery. So that's a plus.
