Boboli Thin Crust

Yes!! I really don't like regular Boboli crust because it's WAY too many calories, and too sweet and thick and just not great. But this solves many of my issues by being fewer calories, thinner, tastes somehow better (I guess because there's less of it), and is still very convenient to dress up and bake. The taste is not necessarily good, it's more that I couldn't taste the crust much at all. Which really, is what you want in a pizza, right? A nice crispy bottom. That's what I got here! Nice addition to the line, Boboli.

Boboli Pizza Sauce

I'm not a huge fan of the Boboli crust, so I was skeptical of this pizza sauce, but I actually ended up liking it quite well! This comes in a little plastic packet (3 per box) rather than a jar, which I initially I judged because it's like a lunchable, but then I realised (a) I like lunchables and (b) it's super convenient because then I can wait a few weeks in between pizzas (crazy, I know!). So this format is nice. The amount is pretty much perfect for a regular sized pizza, and the color cooked to a nice dark red. The taste was good! It is sweet, but not too too sweet, and I added a little garlic and red pepper flakes to mine but I think even without that it has a decent salt/spice profile. A perfectly non-objectionable sauce, and I think it's better than any jarred sauce I tried. Nice work, Boboli!

Boboli Pizza Crust - Original

I love pizza, and I'd be the first to tell you that all pizza is good, even if it's bad pizza. But this crust honestly makes me re-evaluate such a sweeping statement. First of all, yes, it is very convenient, and sturdy and easy to cook. So I see the appeal. But the flavor is too sweet, too doughy, and not at all the floury wonder I desire in a crust. I can make a better one by hand for the same price or cheaper! It's also really bad for you, which sure, it's pizza, but I don't expect a 1000+calorie crust, especially if it tastes not great. However, this is a fine vessel for delicious toppings, and if you need a premade pizza crust, this is serviceable.
