homefree chocolate mint cookies

God, I really am change-averse. I do not need to be tearing up over the fact that I will never get these only-mildly-OK cookies for free from work again, again! I can just buy the mildly OK cookies! Self!!

These cookies are just mildly OK. You know how vitamin water etc is like an eyedropper of juice in a bottle of water? These are the solids equivalent. Like a pinch of Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookie in an airy wafer of... neutral wafer. I like the flavor notes (choco, mint) and I guess it's nice that these aren't too sweet, but they just have very little flavor. This is not a gourmet resto, this is a desperation bag cookie snack, let me have some flavor!

homefree - double chocolate chip cookies

These look cute, but are one of the more disappointing homefree flavors. They aren't very sweet, and they're very crunchy (I guess they all are that), so it's basically just crunchy cocoa powder vibes, no real flavor otherwise. Lemon or ginger is superior.

homefree ginger snaps

Well well well, we meet again, surprisingly decent top-8-free cookie company! My place of work always has these as the "allergy friendly" option, and I've started taking them because I want to get my money's worth! Also, they're surprisingly decent. This variety was a little dry/crumbly/boring for my taste, but pleasant enough. Has that ginger spiciness, which is the best and most important thing in a ginger snap. Would take again.

homefree - lemon burst mini cookies

This is definitely my favorite kind of the homefree cookies! They don't taste "weird" at all, just like nice somewhat sweet and very lemony lemon-butter cookies. They are crunchy and cute looking. I'm a big fan of these, and I think I would be even if I didn't care about the allergy-free-ness, which is quite a feat for these types of foods!

Homefree Vanilla Mini Cookies

I enjoyed these! They're free of the top-8 allergens, which is never a good sign, but apart from the super-duper-crunchy texture (which is fairly enjoyable actually), you wouldn't really know it. They're basically a crunchy version of Lorna Doone shortbread cookies. A little buttery, very sweet, with I guess a mild vanilla flavor. There's a slight "off" taste to them, but I can't really pinpoint what it is or what it comes from, and it's possibly that it's partially just psychological. Anyway, these are fine, and a cute little snack.

Homefree Mini Cookies - Chocolate Chip

Sadly, these are not great. I like the lemon homefree cookies a lot (which are also multi-allergy friendly), but these definitely have a gluten-free taste. They are not very sweet, not buttery, not chocolately, not indulgent, yet still somehow 150cals for a little bag of 4-5 cookies. I feel pity for gluten free-ers who crave chocolate chip cookies because this is not satisfying at all! It does have cute packaging and of course it is nice that they are so inclusive, though! Plus the texture is nice and crunchy.
