Hormel Square Table Slow Simmered Pork Roast Au Jus & Savory Sauce

Suddenly my webps are being accepted at a satisfying rate! Is the web (blogger) finally adapting to webp? Am I finally adapting to pre-cooked meat? Maybe. This was certainly pork and I like that it's safe and very quick to cook. The serving size (two meat blops) is also pretty decent, it made at least 3 portions for me, although I did add an onion also. Like the beef, this smelled a little like pet food (and looked it, might I add), and it was very wet. Too wet. But it tasted fine and looked better once it was all shredded. Actually fairly pink inside, but I didn't die. Could be tender-er, but that's how I always feel about pork.

Hormel Compleats - Turkey & Dressing

Hooray, friends, I lived to write another bad review! I really wanted to like this because I love turkey meals, and it was soy-free! But it was just so gloopy and tasteless. Also it had waterchestnuts in it (which are not real nuts), so there was a random crunch going on. What am I doing, I asked myself as I sadly glorped this into my glob. Do not recommend.

Hormel square table - Beef Roast

At first bite (or really, at first smell) I thought "omg this is cat food", but it grew on me, you'll be pleased to know. It tastes like beef for sure, like pot roast. A good texture, and the sauce is the fattiest/tastiest part as the meat is mostly just essence of dry meat. Also, this is really bad for you. Only get it if you need pot roast and can't roast your own pot!

Hormel - Dinty Moore Beef Stew (microwave bowl)

I ate this 1 hour ago and I'm still feeling weird about it. Weird because even though it made no mention of peas, what if there's peas in it? And weird because honestly this smelled so weird. It smelled like World War II. (I can say this because my grandpa was there and I have smelled his war smelling items.) It was also weirdly oily. But only 200-some calories? What is happening in this 1-minute-cook-time room temperature-storing stew?! It has carrot (fine) potato (fine) and beef (a little dry, but fine) in some oily beef broth (couldn't eat this part, less fine). It was fine. Decently filling. Very convenient. But the aftertaste is a lil bit funky. I didn't die, it seems, so I might get this (or another Hormy) again, but I don't think I will, because it was pretty weird. I didn't grow up with this genre of ready meal! I am not ready!

Hormel Natural Choice Cooked Deli Ham

As far as deli ham goes, this one isn't great. Definitely not as good as the Hillshire Farms honey ham. First of all, this is thicker sliced, but it also seems to have more filler because of that, and is very wet in a gross slippery way. Also not much flavor, ham or otherwise, and certainly no honey flavor (not that it's supposed to, I guess). At least it isn't smoked flavored either. It's OK if you crucially need ham for something, but definitely not my first choice. I got this because it was cheapest (at like 5$, for heaven's sake) and my usual was like 8$ (which is crazy), but I think I might take the hit to my wallet in the future and get a better ham.

Hormel Natural Choice Uncured Hard Salami

This tastes like salami, so that's good. But it's not great salami. I mean, I'm not a huge connoisseur of the stuff anyway, but I've had meat and cheese trays, and Italian subs, and sweet bologna, and those all had better tasting meat than this. Still, it serves the purpose of being a slightly spicy oily meat circle, not very sweet and quite thin. You do get like 15 slices or something, which is plenty. I got this because it was the only option in the store, so I guess it worked fine for my needs. Might consider a meat + cheese tray if I just wanted a salami snack though.
