Crispy Fruit - Apple

Surely I've had these before, but I guess I didn't review it because they're basically the same as all the other freeze dried apples out there. Actually, since I've been having so many non-apple crispyfruits, it was nice to return home to these. It tastes like dried apple, and I like that flavor. Nice and crispy, as per the name. Not too sweet or crumbly. Obviously, not at all filling, but a good little flavor break.

Crispy Fruit - all strawberry

Another Crispy Fruit from our old reliables at Crispy Green. These were pretty different from your typical apple/pear fruit pieces though, mainly due to a weird chemical kinda flavor they had. Or maybe more like a burnt flavor, like a fireplace? Anyway, I enjoyed it overall - it wasn't super duper sweet, and in fact it was almost sour. Lots of red dust lingering in the bottom of the pouch though.

Crispy Fruit - all pear

First of all, can I just say that I've never seen such a round pear as the picture on this bag? Apparently it's an Asian Pear, which is new to me. Anyway, that's all that's new to me, because I think I'm possibly getting weary of Crispy Fruit. This wasn't bad, per se, and the texture is good (crispy!), but the taste is just so "eh". It's like dried fruit and that's all, no other notes or sensations. Zzz.

Crispy Fruit - All Mango

I thought this was pretty good but maybe not my favorite crispy fruit. Dry mango is just so odd, even though I really like mango as a fruit. It loses a bit of flavor being dry, so that it's just OK.

crispy fruit - pineapple

Ah, crispy fruit. I actually saw these at my grocery store this week, which means they really made it big since my store is crap.  Anyway, I like this variety! The pineapple was very tasty. It was also a really really small amount of food. But what's there was good -- naturally sweet, with a little acidic zing, definitely a nice pineapple flavor. Even the texture was decent, and not too papery for a dried fruit snack.

Crispy Fruit - All Tangerine

This was good; tart and very dry. A fairly unique dried fruit in form, because it comes in actual small wedges of tangerine, and not chips/pieces like apples or bananas would do. Not very filling though, and a little hard to eat because there's a lot of crumby pieces in the bottom of the bag. Still tasty and fun for what it is.

Crispy Fruit - all cantaloupe

They've changed their packaging! It used to look like space food, now it looks like fun chips or something. I think it's nice. It's also clear now that the company is called crisp green (who knew) and not Crispy Fruit. Whatever. Anyway, I generally like these crispy fruits. They're really low calorie and have a strong fruity flavor. For instance, this tasted sweet and good like a real cantaloupe. It's a pretty small serving size for me, but tasty, especially when the fruit in question is out of season or hard to access.

crispy fruit - banana

These taste just like the freeze dried bits in cereal or oatmeal. But they're big slices, so it's fun to eat and ultimately still tastes good even if freeze-dried. Definitely a strong pure banana flavor. These are also more satisfying than the apparently similar Brother's All Natural dried fruit pieces for some reason. I also like the cool packaging, it's like space food!
