Enjoy Life Crunchy Birthday Cake Cookies

Birthday cake flavor is usually a big No for me, but these were actually good! They are indeed crunchy/crumbly cookies, but they taste like a real homemade sugar cookie type thing. Very buttery and sweet floury flavor. No artificial grossness. Plus cute little rainbow colors throughout. A good cookie.

Enjoy Life Dark Chocolate Breakfast Ovals

I bet they could make an AI of me based on this blog. Anyway, I didn't expect to like these overmuch, since I'm not a big chocolate-flavored-things enjoyer, but yet when I got the news that there was a new oat circle flavor and it was on sale!!!, I bought like 3 boxes instantly. I'm a sucker for the oat circle. My first reactions was "wow, this is not sweet at all", which was surprising compared to the other flavors, and so I didn't like it. But after a few more bites that contained larger size choco chips, I got into it. They are drier and less sweet than the other flavors, which is a nice change of pace. A little more one-note: oat, chocolate, flour. It grew on me, so I'm glad I bought 3 boxes!

Enjoy Life Gingerbread Spice Cookies

These are a solid EL cookie! Similar to the oatmeal ones and whatever other holiday one I had recently, they're sweet and flavorful and not in a weird "gluten free" way (no offense). Lots of ginger pieces in here, which is nice. Sure, they're still pretty dense little crumbly balls, but at least they taste good!

Enjoy Life - Apple Cider Donut Holiday Soft Baked Cookies

These are, surprisingly, really good. Definitely the best tasting Enjoy Life cookie, and maybe product. That means they're like a REAL cookie!! Now, I've never actually had an apple cider donut, but these do have little apple chunks in (like an apple fritter!) and have a good amount of warm pie type of spices. Plus, a nice soft/chewy texture. Very pleasant, very impressive. Would definitely buy again.

Enjoy Life Mint Chocolate Brownie Bites

At first I thought: these are bad, with just a very strong mint flavor, but after a few more I thought hey, they're not so bad. Nice chocolate chips in there, and they're definitely minty all right.

Enjoy Life Soft Baked Cookies - Peppermint Bark

Aw, look at that cute lil pengie. Too bad these are a holiday offering, because I think they're one of the better Enjoy Life cookie options out there. These are indeed soft, and certainly more chocolate-flavored than mint-flavored, but still have a nice minty vibe. The texture is good, and they grew on me the more I ate them. Enjoyable. No actual peppermint pieces, only little dark choco chips.

Enjoy Life Marshmallow Crunch Brownie Bites

My overall take on these: they just aren't that good. Nut free, soy free, sunflower free, lentil free, all good qualities, but the egg/milk/wheat-freeness really hurts these I think (sorry fam). Texturewise, the random crisped rice in there is very weird, and the taste is vaguely minty more than marshmallowy. They are chocolatey too, it's true, and crumbly. Not BAD, but very strange. No actual marshmallows in there either, just crispies and choco chips. I think the mint flavor is better because at least it tastes like what it says it is?

Enjoy Life Soft Baked Cookies - Oatmeal Raisin

Hey, a new Enjoy Life product! Most of their stuff is really "meh" for me, but I do like the breakfast ovals and chocolate, so I thought I'd give these a shot. And in fact, they taste good! But they are SO freakin' small, haha. Basically they taste like a solid oatmeal raisin cookie, albeit a little dry, and the shape is a sphere instead of, you know, a cookie, but the flavor is there. Would eat, but would think "why so small and round though?".

Enjoy Life Dark Chocolate Bar

This tastes like a dark chocolate bar, all right! The nice thing about dark choco is that it really doesn't contain any allergens in the first place. So, even though this is dairy and wheat and egg free, that doesn't affect the taste or texture at all. It's a solid dark choco bar with 4 sizeable squares, with a good snap to them too. The bad thing about dark choco is that it just isn't as good as milk or white choco, per my tastebuds. So, they did what they could, and it's not a super dark choco (50 some percent?) which I like, but it's still not my favorite treat. Definitely pleasant though.

Enjoy Life Breakfast Ovals - Maple Fig

Despite maple not being one of my preferred flavors, this was pretty good! The fillingness and hearty texture of the breakfast oval form, and the taste was mostly just cinnamony, which I like.

Enjoy Life Soft Baked Mini Cookies - Chocolate Chip

Surprised that I haven't had (or at least reviewed) these yet! There's so many combos of enjoy life soft/crunchy mini/normal cookies. And it seems I really didn't like the crunchy version of these, but this soft baked pack wasn't too bad. It tastes basically like a slightly cardboardy, flavorless version of chewy chips ahoy, which isn't the worst thing in the world. No weird flavors, just not a ton of flavor.

Enjoy Life Crunchy Mini Cookies - Chocolate Chip

Alas, these are not great. Even compared to other Enjoy Life cookies, which themselves are not great when compared to "normal" cookies. To be fair, this bag was expired by 1 week, so maybe I got a bad batch here. They had a weird flavor, not sweet, but somehow tasted "off" -- soapy almost. The texture is great, they look good, but the taste was very weird (and I don't think it's the choco chips to blame, just the cookie bit).

Enjoy Life Breakfast Ovals - Apple Cinnamon

This was a nice moist oaty loaf! Feels substantial, which is nice. The oats still weird me out, but by now I know in my soul they are safe. Unlike my recollection of the other flavors, this tasted "healthy", like some weird bread my mom would bake on a whim or something. It wasn't bad, but I guess the flavor of apple-cinnamon-oatmeal didn't feel like a treat as much as the banana or berry ones. I expect the maple one would feel more breakfast-oatmeally too, and less indulgent. It's not bad and it's nice to eat something "bready", especially in these quarantine times, but it wasn't decadent either. Overall a normal-ish food for allergy sufferers so I am appreciative.

Enjoy Life Crunchy Mini Cookies - Double Chocolate

I wasn't expecting these to be crispy! I'm so used to getting the little soft ball ones. I think I like these better than the soft ones, which is contra my usual cookie preference. They tasted sweeter/buttery and more like a normal cookie than the soft balls, and there was only a tiny hint of that weird gluten free spicy taste. Pretty "yummy".

Enjoy Life Breakfast Ovals - Berry Medley

I ended up eating this a month past the "best by" date, but it was still good. This is just one big oval, which surprised me since their cookies are so small, and since the packaging says "ovalS". But it was very thick, and pretty moist. The taste was oaty and fairly sweet, with only light berry notes. I enjoyed it even though the oat bits, which are sizeable, reminded me a bit of almond slivers or some other spooky nut or seed, which weirds me out, but I know it's totally safe so I didn't feel itchy or panicky or anything. Anyway, this is a filling snack. It wasn't as crunchy as the banana one. I think I liked the flavor of the banana one more, but this was still pleasant and I'd get it again.

enjoy life - chocolate chip banana breakfast ovals

A new product from Enjoy Life that actually isn't full of sunflower seeds/butter! Nice! Even though it's top-8 free, this was surprisingly good; it tasted like oats and chocolate banana bread. The texture was a little weird, it was almost like slivered nuts were in it (I guess that's the oats) and was really dry and crumbly. But I thought it was filling and tasted good, and I'm happy to see this new line of products!

Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Chips

These are really good! Surprisingly, they are just as tasty as a non-allergy-free candy, and maybe even better! They have a nice chocolatey flavor, creamy almost, a bit tangy, not too bitter and not too sweet. They're also cute, tiny, and don't melt in your hand. What a great innovation!

Enjoy Life Crunchy Vanilla Honey Graham Cookies

Shockingly, these were actually crunchy!  And crumbly too, lots of mess to be made here. These do still have the weird gluten free flavor that comes with pretty much all of the enjoy life cookies I've had, but they also have a nice vanilla flavor and a slight butteryness to them (although it's obviously not butter is it), and those notes go a long way towards making this decent. Kind of like a weird Lorna Doone knockoff cookie, which is not terrible.

enjoy life soft baked mini cookies - double chocolate brownie

Ah, Enjoy Life. So classic. You can really tell these cookies are gluten free, not just from the taste (kind of grainy, with that spicy konjac background) but from the texture as well. These are small dense orbs, almost like raw dough, and not really a conventional cookie at all. They do have a slight similarity to those Little Bites packs of mini brownies, though. There's a strong chocolatey flavor, which is pleasant, and even though the choco chips don't really stand out from the overall choco ball, you definitely get the sense you're eating a dessert. Which is nice, and if I were gluten free maybe I'd appreciate it more. As it is, these are pleasant but I'd never seek them out (basically the Enjoy Life party line for me).

Enjoy Life ricemilk bar

Technically, this is a 'chocolate flavored confectionary bar', I guess because the first ingredient is sugar. And it is very sweet, but honestly, I enjoyed this - more than I thought I would! It tasted like a like milk chocolate bar. Maybe could have used a bit more creaminess, but given the dairy-free angle I can't be too picky. Mine actually melted and reformed several times (I don't have AC and it's like 100 in here) but it didn't have any bloom and even though the shape was kind of funky, it didn't seem to affect the taste. I would get these for allergen-free kiddos in a heartbeat!
