Me after 5 days of school: it is SO nice to have enough time to cook rice and tomato (~15 minutes). Maybe that's impacting my rating here, but these are great. Lots of colors in mine (all shades reds, orange, purple, yellow) and somewhat diverse sizes, too. No wrinkles or mold, tastes like a good little tomato, container is very full. Actually local, too. Huzzah, etc.

These guys are the jelly belly of tomatoes. Maybe. Well, I don't know. You'd think the three-color (red, yellow orange, orange yellow) would be better than the straight red version of these marzanos, but - and I suspect this was just a one-time thing - they tasted a little bit off. Like floral or chemical or plastic or something. Usually that'd make me think they'd gone bad, but they looked in fine shape, and the weirdness didn't increase over time, so I'm not sure. Anyway, they do look pretty, and they didn't kill me, but I've had heavenlyer.

So many tomato producers out there! Here's another one. I was confused about the spacing of the name, and refused to research it out of annoyance. That's where we are after not leaving the house for 8 days! A few were a lil wrinkly, but overall they were fine, both in taste and hardiness. Pretty girthy for grape tomatoes. Enjoyed them in both rice and noodle. Hang in there, frozen blog fans!

This branding is cracking me up. I feel like everything's cracking me up lately, which is nice. I've ascended beyond anger (in small bursts of laughter). Seriously though, did tomatoes need the marketing treatment? I was buying them anyway! But this is cute. I usually don't like cherry tomatoes best, but these were very plump and juicy, so I guess I fell in love for the first time. Kinda big for your everyday small tomato functions (noodle), but we made it work. Also, their website says: "the nutrients in these cherry tomatoes, like riboflavin and carotenoids, help reduce migraines and boost the immune system", which I am certainly in the target audience for. Heal me, sexy lady tomatoes! (I assume the name is a takeoff of Chanel no. 9, but it just makes me think of the DC gay bar ("Number 9") instead.)

Some of my best friends are wild wonders! I guess it seems I'm on a bit of a tomato kick, but it's just that there's always a different brand at the store and tomatoes are in a lot of recipes. (Healthy orzo bake, this time.) These tomatoes were not quite as flawless as the last ones I had, but they weren't too bad looking (or tasting). Just a lil wrinkly, but I didn't have to toss any. The medley element is mainly: red ones with a few dark orange ones -- not that wild, but neither am I, so it was just fine.

Tomato branding sure has gotten trendy. This looks like Target packaging, which is now an insult (boo Target, all my homies hate Target). The product was good. Grape is my favorite tomato subtype, and although there was no smackn' [insane typography] to speak of, these were in much better shape (redness and unwrinkledness-wise) than other tomatoes have been. Didn't have to toss a single one. Juicy.

This isn't a cookie! (Or else it's a very very bad one.) I got this tomato puree (passata for snobs) to replace pasta sauce/ketchup/manwich/other tomato things with added ingredos so that I could control my ingredient consumption. To that end, this is great: it's just tomato and a little salt. But it's also pricier than all the more dolled up things it replaces, I guess because it's clean & classy. Anyway, no issues, but also nothing special to recommend it besides what it doesn't contain!

If people aren't giving you grace, you gotta give yourself grace. I am trying to do that right now, by reviewing these tomatoes instead of (metaphorically?) killing myself to do Tasks. Is reviewing tomatoes not a task, you ask? It isn't. It's like a meditation. So too is eating tomatoes. Move over, raisin meditation. This is a cool bag, and the contents are also cool. The tomatoes are long and wrinkly. Not roma, but (san) marzano, which is a type of tomato I was not even aware was a type of tomato until now. Pointier and less juicy, I guess. But in a good way. They lasted a long time without molding. I don't know what else you could expect from a tomato.

My neighbor has been running his truck outside for 4 hours straight. Why? We do not know. I can't DFW myself into thinking he has a good reason to do it, because he is a rude guy in general. What does this have to do with tomatoes? Nothing, I just am finding it so hard to have a single thought about anything else. But we can do hard things!! (👻)
These are the kind of little tomato I like: a medley of different colors and sizes. They claim to be cherry but their shape indicates to me "grape". They taste good and are fun. The packaging is cute. One of the colors is "half of me is purpley black" which I at first interpreted as "rotten tomato" but I think it was just the natural color of the tomato. Next time I will eat them and see if I perish.

My tomatoes were not so red as these! But they're called Suntastic. But they're from a farm in Canada. But also the address of the farm is in Florida. I really have no idea how this qualifies as "local produce", but it was in my local veg box, so, OK. The website on the package (http://www.visitourgarden.com/) does not seem to exist. It's like a prank on me, Billy Tomato Fan.
But I am a tomato fan. These are great for pasta and also rice. They taste like tomato, lasted a whole week, and were solid even though the outsides didn't look super pretty. In general, tomatoes are good, but for me the bigger they are they more I like them (Big Bois > Romas > Grape > Cherry). So these are pretty large and also pretty good.

Oh, no. Despite how unappealingly laryngeal these look in the picture, the real deal is even worse! They're basically black with occasional flecks of brown, red, and (mold?) white!! But they're brand new and supposedly last years, so I foolishly added some to my wrap du jour. Mistakes were made. They're So Salty and also So Tough and also taste like putrid earthy fungus. The ingredients are clean, though, and the company has a great allergy situation. Maybe I need to rehydrate them for a really long time first? I have a very large bag of these. Oh dear. At least I can still experience a range of taste experiences with my limited diet!

I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel here, I know. These are cherry tomatoes. They are in a fairly large container and they themselves are fairly large, too. Until recently I had a huge indoor tomato plant that gave me lots of (small) cherry tomatoes every week, but that plant died this summer along with my joie de vivre. So, here we are. These, like many tomatoes, are "fine". Good for rice, pasta, salad, etc. Not particularly sweet or juicy or anything, but not flavorless either.

I adore Tuttorosso! They have a "allergy free" label, and even though tomatoes are ostensibly all allergy free, the peace of mind is worth a lot. Especially because tomato paste has such a strong savory smell that it makes me a little anxious! But this tastes great. All of their stuff has been good. Even without the allergy label I think it has a slightly more "real" flavor than the other brands I've used. Really grateful for the Tutts!

Do I have canned tomato opinions? Not really, yet I liked these. In the aisle at the store I spent a super long time looking at the many tomtato options, and there was another woman right in front of these so I left to do the rest of my shopping, came back, and she was still there! But no woman can hide me from the tomato I choose. I got the no salt added for health, but they tasted like regular tomatoes -- no weird flavor, and in fact they were the highlight of the dish I made (at least when it was fresh). Really plump, juicy, and pleasant stuff. No complaints!

This was undeniably "fine". It feels weird and a bit desperate to review tomato paste, but you never know if one might have a secret weirdness to it. This did not. It was standard in all ways I could see; tomato paste in general is really not for nibbling (too intense!) but only for cooking, so it didn't seem to upset the pasta sauce apple cart too much. All you can hope for.
