At first sip, I thought that this had a really strong flavor, but also a pleasant fruitiness: plums, cherry, dare I say grape. Best in small sips, and got more intense on day 2 if possible (less on day 3 though). I gave up on the idea of food pairings, but this is supposed to go with lamb. Um, OK rich wine fans.
