These make me think of Cool-een from Survivor. Otherwise, they weren't great, but that's on me buying California strawberries in October -- they looked so pale and sad in the store (and were on sale therefore; yay) but the recipe I was compulsively due to make called for them, so here we are. I lost only 4 to mold/browning, which is generally a reasonable condition for OCTOBER strawberries. They weren't super red obviously, but tasted just fine (cooked in a paste). Better than expected actually. Sometimes soft bigotry... sometimes soft happiness.
