Nestle Kit Kat

I know what you might be thinking -- "Nestle Kit Kat? You mean Hershey, right?" But no, apparently in Canada, Nestle is the company that manufactures Kit Kats. And, they're peanut free!
Anyway, I have had the Hershey version before, and these don't taste any different to me. Perhaps the chocolate is a little creamier, but that's only a good thing!
If you haven't had a Kit Kat before, it's bar of thin layers of crème-filled wafer, covered with chocolate. (Or, multiple bars that you can break apart, if you get a larger size. Thus the jingle "break me off a piece of that Kit Kat bar"!) It's a fairly unique candy bar, and it's one of my favorites.

Gimbal's Gourmet Jelly Beans (41 flavors!)

Ever since Harry Potter came out, I've wanted to experience the whole "what will this jelly bean taste like? who knows!" phenomenon. Sadly, until Gimbal's, I could never find a peanut free Jelly Bean assortment, least of all one with 41 flavors. Lucky for me, these beans are pretty tasty.

Because there are 41 flavors in this bag (I got at least a couple of each flavor), there is sure to be a flavor everyone will like. There's a lot of fruity ones, but also more creative flavors like java, tiramisu, popcorn, and root beer. Because I have time on my hands, my roommate and I actually rated each of the flavors, which you can see coming up here soon. Some weren't my favorite, but none were so terrible to stop me from reaching blindly to eat one. (Note: a lot of the flavors look very similar, so if you hate chocolate but love root beer, watch out!)

Overall, though, I'd have to give this bag a thumbs up. I'll probably buy it again when I get a hankering!

Vermont Nut Free White Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Peanut and tree nut free! Sounds like a dream, especially since I can't eat "Flipz" anymore and I'm far too lazy to make my own. Unfortunately, I won't be getting these again. I got the white chocolate version, and they looked great. I bit in -- fine texture, tasty salted pretzel, good choco -- and suddenly a horrible plasticy aftertaste hit me that I couldn't get rid of. I don't know if I just got a dud bag or what, but I ate them within days of receipt and this plasticy aftertaste is really terrible, you guys. Luckily, I did order some other stuff from them, so maybe they'll redeem themselves.

Introduction

I know, right, another blog? Just what the internet needs. Especially one for food reviews!
But I'm eating the stuff anyway, so I figured I might as well. Plus, I have a lot of allergies (peanuts, tree nuts, fish, peas, and MORE!) so I can't eat a lot of foods more mainstream reviewers might.

Anyway, enjoy! Let me know if there's a food you want me to review and I'll check into it. :)
